Indian national killed after two helicopters collide in Nepal's Mount Everest region
Two helicopters collided on Tuesday while attempting to land in Nepal's Mount Everest region, resulting in one fatality and at least one injury. The incident occurred at a helipad in Pheriche village within the Solukhumbu district, situated at an altitude of approximately 13,780 feet. Authorities confirmed that the deceased was a 47-year-old tourist from India. The collision took place during the busy autumn trekking season after a period of heavy snow had recently cleared, allowing thousands of trekkers to move through the area where helicopters serve as a vital transport link due to the lack of roads.
