Yankees legends Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez deliver blunt post-mortem on team: 'Something has to change'

Following the New York Yankees' sweep by the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Division Series, franchise legends Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter publicly called for significant changes within the organization. While Rodriguez specified a need for a 'philosophy change' regarding roster construction and stability, Jeter and former rival David Ortiz pointed toward a decline in the team's fundamentals and clubhouse culture. The loss extends the Yankees' World Series drought to 17 seasons, matching a franchise high since 1923.
