North Korea Fires Missiles After Border Breach Warning

North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles from the Pyongyang area toward its eastern waters on Monday, according to South Korean and Japanese military officials. This event follows a series of recent weapons tests by North Korea and a hypersonic weapon test by South Korea on the preceding Friday. Tensions on the Korean Peninsula remain high following land mine explosions that injured three South Korean soldiers last month and a continued freeze in diplomatic negotiations between Pyongyang, Seoul, and Washington.
