Moody’s assigns investment-grade ratings to Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin

3 sources →

Moody's Ratings has assigned Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin an Decrypt long-term deposit rating and a P-1 short-term deposit rating. The ratings evaluate the credit quality of the stablecoin's reserve assets, which are held by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a Ripple subsidiary. Following these ratings, Coinbase integrated RLUSD into its retail and institutional platforms, including support for the Base blockchain. The stablecoin is backed by U.S. Treasury bills, government assets, and cash, with a targeted reserve coverage of 103%.
