House Democrats call for special counsel to investigate Trump's ties to Epstein

House Judiciary Committee Democrats released a 50-page report on Monday calling for a special counsel to investigate President Donald Trump's alleged ties to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The report, titled 'We Have Certain Things in Common, Jeffrey,' compiles accounts from 11 women, five of whom accuse the president of rape or sexual assault in Epstein's presence. It also alleges that the Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Todd Blanche, has obstructed investigations and withheld records to shield the president. The White House has dismissed the report as a false, politically motivated attempt to distract from Republican momentum ahead of upcoming elections, maintaining that the president cut ties with Epstein years ago because he was a 'creep.'
